Going In Style Has Launched a New Innovative Adapter Site

Going In Style has launched a new innovative adapter website that makes it easy to find the adapter you need for your next trip ...

Going In Style has a new Travel Adapter Website; no matter where your travels take you, you will have the adapters you need for all of your electronics and appliances. Going In Style's new adapter site is easily searchable for the adapter you need. Deluxe Adapter Kits included both grounded and non grounded adapters and ship Priority mail so you will have your adapter to you in no time.

This new adapter site makes it easy to find the adapter you need for your destination country.  You can easily search in alphabetical order by country A to Z or by world region including Caribbean, Africa and Oceania.

An adapter plug is necessary if you are bringing your North America appliances such as cell phone chargers, hair dryer, iPad charger and laptop on your trip. In the United States we use appliance plugs with two flat pins, however other countries have various pin configurations for their electrical outlets. In order to plug your United States plug into a foreign outlet you will need an adapter plug. Almost anyone that travels abroad will need to bring an adaptor with them on their trip.

Whether you are traveling to Bhutan, India, England, Korea or are touring Europe, you can easily find the adapter you need for your trip.

You can purchase travel adapters locally at our flagship travel store at Stanford Shopping Mall in Palo Alto, California. We carry adapter plugs for world wide travelers at Going In Style Travel Accessories, 609 Stanford Shopping Center, Palo Alto, CA 94304 - Visit the Stanford Travel Store website www.stanfordtravelstore.com for directions to Going In Style.

Dual Voltage Appliances

When traveling to a foreign country you will want to make sure all your electronic devices, hair dryer, electric shaver are dual voltage ...

About Dual Voltage Appliances:

Every country in the world runs on a unique electrical output. Because of this appliances may not operate correctly when traveling to foreign countries.

When traveling with appliances it is important to know whether your appliance is dual voltage. If it is not dual voltage you will need either a converter or a transformer when traveling.

This video will show you how to check to make sure your appliance is dual voltage.

Typically cell phones, cameras, tablets and laptops are dual voltage and do not need a converter.

Usually hair dryers, curling irons, battery chargers, hair straighteners, electronic razors and electronic toothbrushes are NOT dual voltage. These appliances will need either a converter or a transformer. It is important to check the label for each of your appliances that you will be traveling with.

The United States runs on about 120 volts electricity while many other countries run on 220 volts electricity or higher. Without a converter or transformer you can burn out your appliance.

How To Find Voltage and Wattage Ratings

To determine the correct model voltage converter for your appliance, you must know the input voltage, wattage requirements and appliance type: electronic, motorize or heating. You can find this information on the manufacturer's label located on the back or bottom of the appliance or in the specifications section of the owner;s manual. The label will show the input voltage (100, 110, 120, 220,240 written as: 120 volts, 120V, 120 Volts AC, or 120VAC), the wattage (100 Watts or 100W), or the amerage (0.5 Amps or 0.5A or 500mA).

You can purchase dual voltage appliances (hairdryers, hair straighteners, electric shavers) locally at our flagship travel store at Stanford Shopping Mall in Palo Alto, California. We carry dual voltage electrics for world wide travelers at Going In Style Travel Accessories , 609 Stanford Shopping Center, Palo Alto, CA 94304 - Visit the Stanford Travel Store website www.stanfordtravelstore.com for directions to Going In Style.
